One of our favorite holiday traditions, is attending the Christmas Car Show at Ruby’s in Redondo Beach. The waterfront event is fun for the whole family, with about 100 classic rides on display.
LA Auto Show 2012
More than 40 World and North American debuts were unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show this year with a focus on MPG, technology and clean efficiency.
Sold! Sold! Sold!
Over 700 cars crossed the block at a frenetic pace over the 3-day Mecum Auction held in Southern California this weekend. Before I could even get in the doors at the Anaheim Convention Center, I could hear the auctioneer feverishly working the crowd for each hot rod, classic or custom ride that rolled out in front of him.
Veterans Day
In honor of the holiday, here are a few pics in honor of our service men and women. Thank you for your service.
007 Rolls in His DB5
The latest film in the James Bond series hits theaters in the U.S. today. In “Skyfall” Bond is reunited with his 1964 Aston Martin DB5. The DB5, which is meant to be 007’s personal vehicle, made its debut in the movie “Goldfinger” where it was driven by Sean Connery.
Bond movies are always good for cool cars and great chase scenes and with the return of the DB5, I expect “Skyfall” will not disappoint.
Wings, Wheels & Rotors
While our friends on the Eastern Seaboard were battening down the hatches in advance of “Superstorm” Sandy, we were trying to keep our Ez-Up from getting blown away by the rotors of the rescue helicopter taking its place on the tarmac – hardly anything to complain about when you consider the alternative. We were at the joint forces base in Los Alamitos for the annual Wings, Wheels & Rotors show and expo.

Silverado Days
Lets get back to talking about cars… this weekend we headed down to Buena Park to check out the Classic Cars, Customs and Hot Rods that showed up for this year’s Silverado Days, and we were not disappointed.
American Pride
Today we deviate a bit from our car related content to review the showcase of America’s finest Men, Women and military hardware on display at the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar. Home to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and more than 10,000 Marines, the 23,000-acre facility at Miramar was awash with military, law enforcement and civilian displays of aircraft, vehicles and even a robotic dinosaur for the 2012 Miramar Air Show.
Remembering Shelby
It was another first Saturday of the month, which meant cars were gathering in the parking lot at the Peninsula Shopping Center. However this Saturday had a theme… as Shelby Cobra, after Shelby Cobra pulled in, it was clear that this month’s gathering was in tribute to the late Carroll Shelby. Eventually the lot was full of Cobras, GT350s and GT500s.
