Hope everyone had a great Labor Day holiday weekend. Thought we’d share some of the sweet rides we had the privilege of seeing at the Great Labor Day Cruise in Orange County.
The 30th annual event is put on by the Orange County Cruisin’ Association (OCCA Inc.) and is held at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA. The venue is unique to car show sites in that it offers a non-stop 1.25 mile cruise route. The kids enjoyed the day with activities including a model car contest and wild wagons displays. Car enthusiasts had the opportunity to meet Troy Ladd from Hollywood Hot Rods, named the 2010 “Builder of the Year.” The three day cruise supports many important causes including the Wounded Warrior Project -100% of the proceeds from this year’s silent auction went to support the WWP.
For next year’s show, OCCA Inc. is building a 1966 Chevy Chevelle “Big Block 454” which will be given away to the winner of the prize drawing. All proceeds from the Wounded Warrior Project Car will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. So next Labor Day, why not join OCCA Inc. for a cruise, support a great cause, and who knows… maybe drive home with a new set of wheels.
